New York Fashion Week's stylish guests and residents have embraced the "underwear as pants" trend (and the slight chill). The pants-less trend is a look we've seen on runways for a few seasons now, and this season, it's officially hitting the streets of New York City. Most often paired with oversized outerwear - trench coats, bomber jackets, or loose-fitting jackets - the pantless look turns traditional styling techniques upside down. Street stylers created the look with bare thighs, camouflaging their underwear with big buttons or highlighting it a la Miu Miu (or underwear as outerwear). Even the stars picked up on the trend: during the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2025 show, Winnie Harlow and Shay Mitchell wore similar ensembles without the designer's pants: beige raincoats, oversized preppy tops, black boots, and red caps.
