The new Jacquemus collection, Le Chouchou, took over Versailles. The level of beauty was off the charts: celebrity guests relaxed on the boats, and the models paraded along the 400-meter catwalk. The star models were surprised with a royal spread of looks: silk pannier shorts, sheer fabrics, ballet flats and square-toe pumps, and boob sleeves. Many of my colleagues were left bewildered by this collection. But I'm sure there will be a real hunt for many pieces. For example, cherry clutches and necklaces, generally excellent "court" jewelry, tops with oversize sleeves, and rose tights. And we'll be seeing balloon skirts in mass-market soon.
