In anticipation of Swim Week in Miami, we want to remember Lagerfeld's swimwear collection with inscriptions of the zodiac signs. The more so because luxury brand Fendi also dug into the archives and used the maestro's zodiacal models in this year's summer capsule. For the summer campaign, the fashion house invited model Irina Shayk.
The capsule combines Fendi's modern touches with the sportswear style presented by Kim Jones, creative director of haute couture and womenswear. It includes recycled lycra swimsuits, draped satin caftans and dresses, blouses with inscriptions of zodiac signs in English and Italian, and astrological prints initially drawn by Lagerfeld. The range is completed by knitwear, such as knitted dresses with double F inserts, cashmere sweaters, cropped viscose pieces, and sun-drenched denim and silk jersey pieces.
